Arteriogram


It shows the size, shape, and location of an aneurysm; can reveal any vasospasm. After local anesthesia, a catheter is guided through the arteries from the groin to the neck. Contrast dye is released which travels to the brain, and then x-rays are taken, showing the arteries and any aneurysm.
