Dr. Anil Nanda, Chairman and Professor of The Department of Neurosurgery at LSU Health Sciences Center, was an honored visiting professor and resident graduation speaker for the Rush University Medical Center Department of Neurosurgery Graduation Day held in Chicago, Illinois on June 25,2009.
He delivered the commencement speech on, “Skull Base Surgery: Why the Owl Minerva Flies at Dusk.” He discussed the anatomy and indication of using the skull base approach Dr. Nanda also covered complications in neurosurgery through pictures and videos.
Rush Medical College was founded in 1837 and is home to one of the first medical colleges in the Midwest. Dr. Nanda was an intern at Rush 26 years ago and it was poignant for him to be back.
