Neurosurgery chairman lectures in Oxford

Dr. Anil Nanda was invited to speak at the Mississippi Neurological Society’s annual meeting in Oxford, Mississippi over the weekend of January 20-22. The meeting took place at The University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) where he was invited by Dr. James, Walker, a prominent neurosurgeon in Oxford, MS. Dr. Nanda gave presentations on “The Unbearable Lightness of Honesty and Complications in Neurosurgery” and “Dharma, Dixie, and Dilemmas in Public Health.”

While in Oxford, Dr. Nanda visited the famed Square Books and Rowan Oak, the historical home of author, William Faulkner. Faulkner is a favorite of Dr. Nanda, who by chance happened to bump into the mayor of Oxford, George Patterson. Patterson gave Dr. Nanda a personalized tour including several lesser known sites in Oxford.
