                        LSU Health’s Department of Neurosurgery Invites Area Medical Students and Professionals to Upcoming Grand Round

                                      Dr. Charles Branch of Wake Forest University School of Medicine will be presenting new, innovative techniques
                                                       and devices benefitting patients suffering from degenerative and spinal deformities.

Shreveport-Bossier, LA – The Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center Department of Neurosurgery is pleased to announce that Dr. Charles L. Branch Jr., Chair of Neurosurgery at Wake Forest University School of Medicine will present a Grand Round “Spinal Balance and Posterior Lumbar Fusion Devices” Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. in Room 3-222 on the third floor of the LSU Health Sciences Center Medical School located at 1501 Kings Highway, Shreveport, Louisiana 71103.

Dr. Branch is widely respected for his ingenuity in spine surgery, cervical and lumbar disc disease, spinal stabilization, and spinal tumors. While developing new and improved techniques and tools, he began to advise and partner with medical device companies including Medtronic, the world’s largest medical technology company. Dr. Branch worked with Medtronic engineers to develop tools to allow surgeons to more safely perform spinal fusions.
