We participate in the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) and the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP) for the Neurosurgical Match. Applicants must register with both services to apply for programs.

Residents selected should meet the requirements as established for licensure/permit as outlined by the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners. For more information on these requirements and how to apply for state licensure, visit LSBME.
Interviews are arranged by invitation and are based on a review of the ERAS application material. Generally held October through January, the interview process begins with a Friday evening arrival and dinner with current residents. Saturday morning is the interview and hospital tour. Specific details will be provided to the applicants selected for interviews.
Candidates selected for interviews will be notified by e-mail or telephone. Residents are selected based on their preparedness, ability, aptitude, academic credentials, communication skills, and personal qualities such as motivation, character, and integrity.
